MobiMatter is a travel eSIM provider operated by MOBIMATTER LTD (Abu Dhabi Global Market, United Arab Emirates). Besides our plan and destination pages we publish travel and eSIM guides, blog articles and pages that compare MobiMatter with other eSIM brands. This page explains who writes them, where the facts come from, how we keep them current and how to report a mistake.
We sell the plans we write about
MobiMatter makes money by selling eSIMs, including plans from other eSIM brands such as Airalo. Our guides, articles and comparison pages are written by MobiMatter and recommend plans that you can buy from us, so we have a commercial interest in what we publish. We say so on every comparison page, and we would rather you know it here too.
On destination pages, plans are ordered by a ranking of quality and value for money, not by which provider pays more. Each plan page lists the provider, the networks, the data allowance, the validity and the policies that apply (activation, top-ups, refunds).
Who writes and reviews our content
- Articles and guides show who wrote them, with the author's role and a short bio. Author pages link to their professional profiles.
- An article names a reviewer from the MobiMatter team (product, engineering, operations or marketing) only when that person checked it for accuracy, with the date of the review. If the text changes substantially after the review, the reviewer is no longer shown until the article is reviewed again.
- Some older articles are credited to "MobiMatter Team". When we rewrite one, it gets a named author.
- Comparison pages name the person who reviewed them and the date of the last review.
Sources and dates
- Every fact needs a source. If we cannot source a number, we leave the number out.
- Rules such as SIM registration or ID requirements come from regulator or government pages. Other companies' offers and prices come from their own websites, with the date we read them. Events and dates come from the organiser.
- Facts that can change carry a review date. Third-party prices on our comparison pages and destination answers stop showing once their review date passes, rather than staying up out of date.
- Our own prices, networks and plan details on destination pages, comparison pages and newer articles are read live from the plans on sale, not typed in by hand. Older articles may mention prices as they were on the article's date.
- Articles show the date they were published and, when their text has changed substantially since, the date of the last update. Fixing a typo or swapping an image does not count as an update.
- Destination pages show the date the plans and prices they quote last changed, not the date we last checked them.
What we test, and what we don't
Every plan page names the mobile networks the eSIM connects to, so you know which operator you will use. We don't publish speed tests: speed depends on the network, the place and the time of day, so a single test says little about your trip. How our comparison pages work
Our MobiMatter vs other eSIM brands pages compare prices for the same trips (for example one week with 3 GB in Japan) instead of matching plans one to one. Other brands' prices are the list prices on their own websites on the date shown, without promo codes or first-order discounts, and are re-checked at least every three months. Facts about other brands link to the official page they come from, and anything we could not confirm on an official page is marked as such. Each page explains its method in a "How we compare" section and says where the other brand is the better choice.
Use of AI tools
We use AI tools to help research, draft and edit some of our content. They never publish anything: a member of the MobiMatter team reviews and approves every change before it goes live, and facts are checked against the sources described above. The named author and reviewer are responsible for the content.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, email support@mobimatter.com with the page link and what is wrong. We check every report, and when we correct a fact the page's updated date changes.
